Life's Journey
is not to arrive safely at the
grave in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways
totally worn out shouting,
Woo hoo!!! What a ride!!

American Pride 2

The flag part is complete.
Only the stars to go.
Each day I work on this afghan I remember how
Patriotic my father was.
And how he instilled in us to love our country
Our family and God.

God Bless America!

Sisterly Love

Several weeks ago my favorite sister surprised me with a lighthouse floor mat.
I do not know how anyone could step on it everyday all day long.
NOT in my house.
It has a very special place on the back of our couch.

Thank you big sister.  I love you!
If you want to see more of my sister's awesome projects check out:

Fall is coming

I love fall.
The leaves are changing.
Pumpkin items are being made, sold and consumed.
The air is crisp and clean smelling.
Sweaters can be worn without people looking at you strangely.
It's time to celebrate my birthday and,
Scarves are being worn.
It's time for me to get ready.

Scarves are so much fun to make.
They don't take much time and can be the perfect addition to an outfit.

American Pride

I have been working on the American Flag afghan in between other projects.  This one is staying at our house.  I have always wanted to make a patriotic themed afghan.  You can't get much more patriotic than the flag.  God Bless America!!

Only 5 more stripes and 50 stars to go.

More Weddings

Vacation, Family and lots of fun.

We are back from vacation and what a wonderful time we had.  Spending time with the family is always a hoot.  We spent 4 days laughing and talking and laughing some more.
When we returned home on Thursday we had to get ready for more family fun, when Mike's cousin and family stopped by on the way to the beach.  I decided a few months ago to make them their own afghan.  This afghan represents their two favorite NFL teams.  There is never a dull moment in their house during football season.

I had fun with this afghan and didn't follow any type of pattern.  I will write down the pattern and post it to my blog in the next few days or weeks.

Wedding present complete

What a week......
Busy at the office.  Getting ready for vacation,
and crocheting.  I finished the doily!!!!!
This was so much fun to make.  I love the colors and style.
I can't wait to get a beautiful cut glass bowl or vase to go with it.
